Re: Saturday Stuff

I've been watching the BBC news and I agree about the Ice Age! I am imagining the whole of England under a glacier.

Re: Respect amongst trainers

Yes, interesting. It goes back to what we've said before about not being afraid to mix and match different approaches and always to keep an open mind. Also interesting that they mentioned e-collars in particular, with having used one myself with Nougat even though it went against my principles. I us...

Re: Saturday Stuff

How's the weather today in various AMOH locations? Looks like we have just general miserable today but snow forecast for tomorrow and then next week it is getting crazy with up to minus 10, so they are saying. I hate it when it's that cold -so hard to keep the horses' water topped up and unfrozen an...

Re: Tiky de la Couture journey

Made me giggle imagining a short person trying to get on and then subsequently sitting on such a grand beast!

Who are you riding next week and why?

Re: The non ridden horse

That doesn't surprise me at all, there are some real extremists out there -which is fine - but what is there to gain by chucking someone out of a group? You can only help educate and (perhaps) shape someone's behaviour through discussion and information. It's people like that who give veganism a bad...

Re: The non ridden horse

Was talking to Ali about this thread, she doesn't feel that she shouldn't be riding as a vegan. She still has a leather saddle, but has said if she ever needs new tack she'd get synthetic. As for her nice new shiny leather sidepull - it's gathering dust in the tack room I don't think it says anywhe...

Re: The non ridden horse

Which is why I have never felt you would get back to it ever That's interesting, Trudi! Maybe you understood me even more than I did. I could find a way where I found it acceptable but it would take so much work and I don't think I've got the skills. I'd like to think I'll get back into doing more ...
