Re: Nearly Time

Yes to be honest the steroids might have shortened her life a little but I decided that she'd probably rather a couple of weeks less but happy than longer and miserable..based on what I would want and also Pips personality Exactly  Thanks girls, it's lovely to know that you're all followin...

Re: Nearly Time

First of all I'm sorry to come on AMOH and only have time to comment on my thread, it is very poor form. But I do have an update: Since Angus has been home Whymper has been on relatively good form. He has yet to see her on a bad day, but he understands. She has got herself up no problems every day a...

Re: Nearly Time

Thanks Trudi and Tess. Sorry to drag you on this rollercoaster with me! She is back in the house on 'her' rug now but she spent the night outside. I found her this morning under a tree, wet and covered in frost -it was upsetting and I thought she had passed (although I actually wanted her to be beca...

Re: Nearly Time

I think Henri has a bit of mileage left in him yet. Fingers crossed for some sunny days this winter. I'm in a sticky situation this evening and I think I've cocked up big time and left it a day too long. W couldn't get up today and she soiled herself twice. Then she did manage to get outside an hour...

Re: Mixing methods - does it matter ??

Great idea for a thread

I say no, it doesn't matter, but you have to have some kind of consistency.

I'm trying to elaborate but I'm too tired now so will come back to this tomorrow.

Re: added field forage ideas

Oh and fruit stones -I have never worried about those. Mine have plum trees in the field and they eat them whole. Have done for 7 years.

Re: added field forage ideas

Some fabulous ideas here! I feel quite inspired. Putting hay in the hedge is a great plan. It's that time of year where Mav gets bored and starts to think about how to break out of the paddock so it would be great to give hime something else to think about. I chuck branches in for them and they seem...

Re: Nearly Time

Thanks Tess and Sheila

Thank you for sharing how it evolved with Pippin, Tess. It helps to hear how you (and she) knew it was time.

Happy Birthday ME! Hope you're having a fabulous day xxxx :birthday: Pizza and wine sounds perfect! Hope you didn't pick up too much tat, Helen. I was guilty of binge-shopping on Black Friday, but I think I've got nearly almost all the Christmas pressies. Been shopping on Not on the High Street, whi...
