Ros brought hers over yesterday for us to try.

Underneath the saddle pad is a sheepskin gel pad. Ali really liked it, but she rides bareback a lot so no surprise there.

Here's a bit of vid (it was incredibly noisy, they were cutting wood with a machine attached to a tractor nearby  )

I had a quick go too, I can see why some people don't like it, you have to be very balanced and you don't feel held in place at all.......

Thanks Helen- it has a lot less than my bareback pad in terms of support- will try and remember to bring it in March.

Right, so I have tried one on Sky and I found it to be fantastic!! First of all it made me sit better because on saddles I always lean to one side but on the TCS I was perfectly level and I never leant forwards which is another thing that I tend to do in a saddle, it didn't feel weird at all as I would normally ride Sky bareback but I'd never go faster than a walk and it wouldn't be for more than 15-20 minutes. Sky was perfectly fine in it but the only thing that was different was that she didn't put her nose to the floor to stretch her back after while like she normally does in a saddle. I am very much considering getting one but if I did get one I wouldn't jump in it I'd only do hacking and some short sessions in the field or arena.

 great that it suits her, lovely pics and nice to see Nic and Coral looking happy. A client has one but I think the jury is still out on it for now.

Finally got to ride in it myself yesterday, have to say it was very comfy on Tari. Maybe because she's like a well-upholstered sofa and it might not be the same on a skinny horse! You can really feel what her back is doing, useful as I get an early warning for any potential buckies (which always seem to happen when she's stopped from getting to any food  )

 You got to ride your own horse, in the TC saddle, and someone actually took a photo of you :random: :hurray: :cheerleader:
