Dressage training for Missy Hissy today up at the club. She actually behaved reasonably well......uploading her vid at the moment, but for now, here are a couple of vids of the opposition, this mare really reminds me of a certain red girl we know, especially when the first time they were supposed to go into canter, she tanked off and jumped out of the arena  (didn't get a vid of that, sorry)

And this chap was obviously not happy having his head strapped down, but apparently they can all wear a de Gogue for the actual competition

Here's Fina's practise test (filmed in 3 sections for ease of uploading, but you only miss a few seconds....)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7LRi0eBEu8

She did pretty well, just dropped into trot one one of the canter circles. Far less argumentative than she has been recently!! Here's a link to the test, if anyone's interested, it's Club 3 Grand Prix: http://www.ffe.com/Disciplines-Equestre ... e/Reprises

Louise, the girls' old teacher (and still the SNO's teacher), is entered tomorrow too in a higher level class, bet she won't resort to gadgets.......

Nice test  Those parts when Ali gets correct bend look really good -they are the moments when Missy Moo relaxes and is less argumentative. I'm sure they'll do really well and with no gadgets!

As I can say what I think ;) I think French dressage has lost the way. These kids are leaning back dumping all their weight down on the cantle when they can't even sit correctly to the trot  and then drawn in at the front with a gogue :o hope Ali does well without gadgets, good on her. Helen do they teach them to lean back like that?

All the teenagers I come across over here seem to have that same seat.

They do all seem to ride like that- I'm surprised that they are all sitting to the trot too - at the level that they are riding rising trot should be fine and probably better for the horses !!!
