the ground jury at Burghley pulled this horse up in the dressage ... it doesnt look lame to me -certainly not so bad they had to stop him halfway through his test !!!

It's subtle for most of it but much more obvious at around 26m05 (trot), 27m18 and 27.50 (walk) might be intermittent or just more noticeable in some movements. I imagine lots of eventers would have similar irregularities- the hocks look a bit shot.

M-E you need to hover over the names of the horses to the right - MAKARA DE MONTIEGE - Rodolphe Scherer is the one you want- grey with a French chap riding.

It looks to me as if the horse isn't 'lame' as in limping but is certainly stiff and uncomfortable - possibly in back or shoulders? Just before the bell sounds the horse is very obviously struggling with a lateral move that it certainly must know well. Well done to that judge.

Interesting! It's pretty subtle and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have picked up on it but now it's been brought to light I can see a bit of stiffness at the points where Trudi mentioned.
