I was out walking with Dut yesterday and a lady came round the corner on a big horse
Lady; "This is a young horse" (yes those were her exact first words)
Me; (smiling): "So is this"
Lady: " But you're in the middle of the road"

Granted, we were in the middle of the road; but as the road just there was wide enough for three cars abreast I couldn't see the problem. Her horse however being obviously disinclined to stop and chat about it, Dut and I just moved into a house drive and gave her the whole road.
No "thank you" as she passed, just slapping her horse constantly down the shoulder with her whip. Confused the h£ll out of me...
