Has anyone got any information on the hoof pick thieves. Last week I had four. Now this morning I've got NONE. Its bizarre. Are they the same dudes that operate in my washing machine ? I put pairs of Clive's socks in , only one comes out. How does that work? Any info will be appreciated.

I wonder if they are specfic horsey thieves or if they are related to the ones who steal my biros and supermarket jetons?

Yes to all above in this household too  however I still have 3 hoofpicks, I tie long pieces of bright blue bale string to them. Same with mousetraps, another disappearing item.

I have the washing machine monster - pairs of socks go in and singles come out

I have actually captured the tack thief at our yard a couple of times. She is small and of a chocolate brown colour with paws approximately seven sizes too big, although she's working on growing into them. She likes to pick up hoof picks and move them, before losing interest and going in search of someone to give her tummy rubs.
