Cotswold mounted archers ;-)

We seem to have got a nice little group of people together rather quickly, might just have to start a club. After Alex came over on Wednesday to practise, yesterday another localish archer came over, Susie. She has her own horse but no transport so she came to practise and rode Gandalf. as with Alex, he started off doing a slow trot, but he soon went up a gear

Sky was slightly less manic than last time, lots more practise at the walk with no bogging off.....well, OK only once, and as she tried to gallop off back to the yard, Ali turned her up the hill and galloped her round the field until she'd had enough. Then she decided that maybe it would be easier to do as we asked.

Ali has developed her own method for retrieving arrows without bothering to dismount......

The real surprise of the afternoon was Cécile and her horse though, who initially came along just to watch, but ended up saddling up and joining in and was shooting from a canter by the end of the day. Another new convert :-D

About time, Alick. You won't even be the only bloke, Cécile's other half had a go the other night and his horse didn't bat an eyelid
