I'm a member of a 'mainstream' dressage group on FB where there is a current discussion on the price of a reasonably priced pair of long boots. I must be in another world as someone reckons £535 for a pair of boots is reasonable. There were made to measure but still that seems a hefty price to me
What is your most expensive horsey purchase?

Yep, my most expensive purchase has been Gandalf! Have never paid more than £30 for boots from Decathlon  I suppose after the horses it would be saddles, the Barefoot second hand cost £400.....

Yes saddle for me too- although the days of paying a grand for a 'proper' dressage saddle have long gone and my budget much diminished. I pay up to £150 for long boots but they are essential for work in the winter and pay me back fourfold.

Yikes  I felt I was giving myself a huge treat when I bought the Ryedale long winter boots last year, spending a huge (for me) £90! Definitely horses and saddles (theoretically, because most of my saddles were second hand). Decathlon cheap jods and joddie boots do me fine, the latter I use for gardening too :-D
